Heer Usadadiya was in hot form as he got yet more national records to his name at the March 14-16 2025 Speedo National Preparation Meet in Brisbane, Australia.
Heer, 15, lowered the 9:31.68 800m freestyle record he had set at the Africa Junior Championships in Mauritius in 2023 to 9:02.82 – thereby showing the improvement he has made in over a year.
He also had national records in the 400m (4:27.14) and 200m backstroke (2:14.46) setting alight his preparations to represent Uganda at the Africa Aquatics Junior Championship in Cairo, Egypt later this year.
But he also lowered personal bests in the 200m freestyle to 2:01.70 and 100m backstroke to 1:03.81 to complete his last gala as a 15 year old
